Osprey Estate is located just minutes from Sun Valley’s ski resorts.

The slopes at Bald Mountain or “Baldy”, cater to intermediate and more advanced skiers. It is renowned for its lengthy runs of constant gradient, varying levels of difficulty, and absence of wind.

With a base elevation of 5,750 feet (1753 m) along the Big Wood River at River Run ski village resort, Baldy’s vertical drop is 3,400 ft.  The 14 ski lifts provide access to 75 runs across 2,054 acres. The slopes are accessible by two full-service ski villages, River Run and Warm Springs, with the ability to ski between both.

Dollar Mountain (lower part of picture) is the smaller of the two ski resorts.  The treeless Dollar Mountain caters primarily to beginner and lower intermediate skiers. Trails at Dollar Mountain are gentler in pitch and shorter than those at Baldy. There is also a terrain park for snowboarders and a technical course for skiers.  Dollar Mountain offers excellent kids and adult beginner lessons, and even a magic carpet for first time skiers. The ski resort has three main chairlifts,  plus the Elkhorn lift at Elkhorn Village to the south, but it is possible to ski between the Dollar and Elkhorn sides.  The Sun Valley lodge and village sits a small distance from the foot of Dollar Mountain.
